Frequently Asked Questions

Listing Questions

My item is new with tags - what condition should I use?
If your item is brand new with tags, it would definitely be in mint condition!

Do I have to select a sub-category?
No, a sub-category is not required. It can help buyers find your item easier though so you might want to go ahead and use a sub-category.

I entered my item but it isn't listed under my items.
In order to make your item available to potential buyers, you must click on the "List your Item Now" button. Otherwise, it will be in a pending state.

What is commission and do I have to offer it?
Offering commission is not required to list on Radical Buy. It is used to entice others to show your items on their profiles. By offering other people a commission, you have a better chance of selling your item by having more potential buyers see your item.

How many pictures can I upload?
While you can only upload one photo at the beginning of the listing process, you are able to upload a total of six photos for your item. The additional photos can be uploaded on the second page of the listing form. Just look for the link that reads "Add an image".

Can I change the primary photo?
At this time, the only way to change the primary photo is to remove all other photos and start the photo upload again. It is something that we are working on though!

What if I don't see my category listed?
If your preferred category is not listed, please choose Other. You will be able to give a detailed description of your item as well as use keywords to help people find your item. As we go along, we will add more categories when we determine the need for them. You can also make a suggestion here on the forums!

Can I use my RB listings in Marketplace?
Yes! When you list an item of your own (not an affiliate item) - you have the option to push the listing out to Facebook's Marketplace for free!

Fees

What is a final value selling fee?
The final value selling fee is the fee paid to Radical Buy for selling your item on Radical Buy. It is based on a tiered platform. The fee schedule is as follows:

0-25.00 = 5%
25.00 - 1000.00 = 5% for the first $25 + 3% of remaining value balance
1000.00 + = 5% for the first $25 + 3% for the 25-1000.00 plus 1.5% of remaining value

For example, if you sell an item for $22.00, the final value selling fee would be $1.10. If your item sells for $150, the final value selling fee would be $1.25 (first $25) plus $3.75 ($125 of the selling amount after the first $25) for a total selling fee of $5.

Is there a cap on the final selling value fees?
Yes. The maximum final selling value fee is $500 per item. You have to have sold something pretty major to have a final value fee be that high!!

I sold an item but the buyer never paid. How do I get a credit for the final selling fee?
In order to get your fees waived for that particular item, you need to fill out a Credit Request form (need a link and a form). You will also need to leave negative feedback for the non-paying buyer. This will alert other sellers to the possibility of a bad buyer.

Commissions and Affiliates

How do I know if I sold an item as an affiliate? And how do I ensure that I get paid for it?
Hopefully you are selling items for someone you can trust, therefore insuring that you get paid the commission. People can also offer feedback for affiliate sales. This allows others to see if that person is good about paying out commissions or if they are going to "stick you".

As long as an item is sold through your profile, the system will flag it as an affiliate sale for you. You will receive an email notification (as will the seller) stating that you were the reason the item sold and that the seller needs to pay you your commission.

Why do I see non-friend's items under the "Friend's Items" tab?
You are seeing your friend's items along with their affiliate items too. So you may be seeing items under the "My Friends" tab that are listed from people you don't know. These are friends of friends' items. This is how we designed it to work; to provide maximum exposure to all RadicalBuy users and items. We are looking into the possibility of a filter on that section so that you can choose to see your friend's affiliate items if you choose to.

General Questions

Why did an item suddenly disappear from my selling list?
Sometimes you will notice that an item you are selling for a commission has disappeared from your list of items that are for sale. Items disappear for several reasons.

The first is that the item sold! The item may have sold through your profile or someone else's. If you are an affiliate seller and the item sold through your profile, you will receive notification that a commission payment is due to you. If you are not the affiliate that the item sold through, the item simply disappears from your list.

The second cause of a disappearing item is that the seller may have removed you as an affiliate seller. Don't take it personally. There could be any number of reasons for this. Finally, an item may have been removed by the seller and is no longer for sale.
